This episode is a great discussion with Billy Bishop of Top Flight Electric in Winter Haven, Florida, which is about halfway between Tampa and Orlando. Billy is one of those people who you just root for, because he’s such a good guy. It’s why it’s so great to see him enjoying some remarkable success. Billy will get into the details, but here are a few sneak peaks: For most of Billy’s professional life, he was a pilot. He’s flown the likes of Clint Eastwood and Hulk Hogan. He’s also flown as a contractor in Afghanistan for three years. When Billy’s back pushed him out of a career as a pilot, he elected to start his own electrical business; he’d grown up the son of an electrician. As a result, Top Flight Electric was born in 2017. As you will hear, Top Flight’s launch was anything but smooth. Over the last three years, Billy has completely changed the company and his approach to life in many ways. Billy has come to realize in order to be successful, he has to help others become successful. He must help his team. That’s what he does today… He coaches, not orders his people. And he works with them on achieving their dreams. As a result, in 2021, Top Flight Electric did over $1.1M in sales… by far, its best year. And it came with a stunning 26.34% net profit.
