Wednesday, September 23rd

2015-expo-golf-ball2nd Annual SGI EXPO CLASSIC ($160) Enjoy competing with and against your fellow SGI members at the second inaugural SGI EXPO CLASSIC Golf Tournament! You and three of your fellow members will participate against the field in a traditional golf scramble. The top-performing team will be awarded a prize, as will competitors with the longest drive, longest putt, and closest-to-the-pin shot! The SGI EXPO CLASSIC will be held on the Boca Raton Resort & Club’s Golf Course, which is home to two of the finest and most renowned golf courses in South Florida. The Resort Course was built in 1926 and enjoys world fame and acknowledgement as one of Florida’s golden-age courses. Discover the rich historic value and tradition of this exquisite golf course, dating back to when PGA professionals Sam Snead and Tommy Armour served at the resort. Extensive Atlantic waters, immediately off the beaches of the Boca Raton Resort & Club, offer world-class fishing year-round. This is your opportunity to compete against your fellow members in a Deep-Sea Fishing Tournament. You and five other members will troll for sailfish, king mackerel, wahoo, and mahi-mahi! We’ll be keeping track to see who lands the biggest fish and the most fish! These are 4-hour charters—and unlike many deep-sea expeditions, it only takes 15 minutes to reach premium-fishing waters, leaving you plenty of time to reel in a tournament-winning catch! Feel the excitement and learn the history of Florida’s most remarkable treasure—the Everglades. One of the rare subtropical ecosystems, the Everglades hold spectacular mysteries. Renew your spirit as you glide across miles of river at speeds up to 35 mph, and get up close and personal with native wildlife, many of which are endangered in this fragile environment. During this 60-minute tour, the boat will stop periodically as the captain tells tales of how the Seminole Indians and panthers once coexisted in this lush wilderness. Getting Outside the Box: A Faith-Based Organizational Discussion with Dr. Dwayne K. Pickett Sr.
At your last Expo, we first introduced a faith-based topic, and the response was so overwhelmingly positive we’re unveiling another. You’re invited to attend a discussion on “Getting Outside the Box” hosted by Dr. Dwayne K. Pickett Sr., the senior pastor of New Jerusalem Church in Jackson, Mississippi. Under Pickett’s guidance, the church has grown from 200 members in 1995 to nearly 7,000 with a high percentage of young people. Pickett is a leader and developer of people, helping them overcome insurmountable odds to find success and fulfillment in life. SGI member and owner Gus Antos of Milestone Electric & Air was so impressed by his message and his energy that he personally recommended bringing Pickett to Expo to speak with all of you.

Winning with Radio: The Dos & Don’ts of This Highly Effective Marketing Medium
You’re looking for ways to advertise. You’ve heard that radio is a great way to brand your message and cement your company’s name in people’s minds. But, “How do you do radio effectively?” It’s a tough question many ask. During this session, you will hear from an assortment of your fellow SGI members who’ve enjoyed massive success with radio in their marketing mix. They will explain what you should and should not do.
