Learning Alliance Session: Time Management

Why does it seem we never have enough time, and why do we feel like we waste our day rushing from one emergency to the next? The answer lies in our daily lives. With increased demands on our time—from work, family life, technology, and other activities—it feels like our time is not our own. The key is to budget our time well—then make the most of it. In this workshop, we will learn to clarify and prioritize your objectives and goals while adopting appropriate strategies for dealing with interruptions—and anything else that ‘steals’ your time. We will work on improving your time-management skills, so you can start to feel more in control and less stressed.

Leadership: Progressive Discipline

Progressive discipline is a process for dealing with job-related behavior that does not meet your expected and communicated performance standards. The primary purpose of progressive discipline is to help the employee understand there is a performance problem and that an opportunity for improvement exists. This process features a series of increasingly formal efforts to provide feedback to the employee so he or she can correct the issue.

The process of progressive discipline is not intended as a punishment for an employee; instead, it’s designed to assist the employee in overcoming performance problems while satisfying job expectations. Learn to administer the steps in this progressive-discipline process and provide feedback to the employee so that he or she can correct the problem and begin contributing to the success of your organization.
